Roy Webb (now aged 77) ran in the Burnham Beaches half marathon in Buckinghamshire on Sunday 22nd August, his time was 1 hour 53 mins. 38 secs.
This race incorporated the British Masters Athletic Federation Championships and the Southern Counties Veterans Championship. Roy finished 2nd in the British Masters over 75's to Walter McClaskey from Edinburgh and got a silver medal for this Also he is now the Southern Counties over 75 veteran champion, and he's got a gold medal to prove it. The Stubbington Green 10k for 2011 will give priority to those who entered the abandoned race in 2010. All those who entered in 2010 will have 8 weeks from 1st September in which to enter the race for 2011 & claim a discounted place. As from 1st November the race will then be open to anyone who wishes to enter (subject to availability).
An entry button will be visable at the top of the SGRAC.NET homepage from the 1st September 2010. | |
