Reading, Fleet and Hampton Court
A trio of half marathons this weekend for the club with the Reading, Fleet and Hampton Court Half. At the Hampton Court Half Marathon Tony Holcombe was first to finish in a sterling time of 1 hour 47 minutes. Lisa Broad who only started running a year ago, finished her first half marathon with Mark Desmond in 2 hours 29 minutes an outstanding effort. Way up North in Reading were 5 club members. Jessica Thomson had another weekend of racing and impressed again with a time of 1

West Worthing 10k and more...
With strong winds blowing around the UK this weekend there was very little chance of personal bests being set. A very impressive turnout of 15 club members at the West Worthing 10k. A course that was always going to be challenging with the wind, being an out and back along the seafront, the first half being with the wind before turning to battle the strong gusts. First to finish and 7th overall was Jack Penfold in 40.09. Daryl Fairbrother ran as strong race to finish under 45
