Hilly and Chilly.......

A total of 19 Bognor Regis Tone Zone Runners took part in races across the weekend. With all the recent rain, conditions under foot were extremely challenging with the runners having to cope with a lot of mud on the off road races.

13 runners took part in the Chilly Hilly 10k race at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, it certainly lived up to its name with almost 1000ft of hills. First home for the club was Andy Mair who despite feeling unwell recorded a credible time of 55:25.

Tone Zone Runners at the Hilly Chilly 10K

We had 4 runners travel to Kent to take part in the Chocathon race. They all completed 13.1 miles which was just as well because the goody bag at the finish contained 1kg of chocolate.

Last but no means least Paul Coe and Simon Bodsworth competed in their first marathons of the year, running the Dark Star marathon in Shoreham on Sea. Again the conditions were very muddy and difficult but both men completed the course in competitive times.
