Paris or bust!

Seven members of Bognor Regis Tone Zone Runners travel across the channel this weekend to join 43,513 other people to participate in the 40th Paris marathon. 1st home for the club was Nina Baldwinson who, despite the warm conditions ran the race of her life to finish in a PB of 3hrs 32mins 9 secs. She was also a creditable 186th out of 4,422 in her age category. Nina was closely followed by Neil Strudwick 6 minutes later, who also ran his fastest marathon to date. Paul Westwood managed to take an amazing 49 minutes from his last marathon time.

Meanwhile, closer to home at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park there was the challenge of a very muddy and hilly half marathon which was started by our very own Amanda Worne. Felicity Paton finished in 2.07.22 which was a great time considering the conditions. 17 minutes covered the other 9 ladies from the club.

Further along the south coast in Bournemouth was another half marathon where Carl Bryant completed the course in a PB of 1:52.30. Michelle Miles also had a great run in only her 2nd half marathon finishing in 2:16.24.

Only two from the club attended the Reading half marathon where Simon Gill finished in 1:17.34 and Stuart Thomson 2:09.48.
