A half marathon at midnight
It was a case of Tone Zone on tour last weekend as husband and wife team of Derek and Grace Natoli headed off the the city of Reykjavik on the picturesque island of Iceland for the Midnight Half Marathon. This incredible friendly race started in the Laugardalur Valley and follows the paths around the city, at the finish all runners are encouraged to take a relaxing dip into the Laugardalslaug Thermal Spring to soothe their aching muscles. In the race Derek was obviously spurred on by his stunning surroundings as he ran a personal best time of 1hr 59mins with Grace following soon afterwards.
Tone Zone Runners very own marathon man, Paul Coe headed to the town of Sydling St Nicholas in Dorset to compete in the Giants Head Marathon. Paul doesn't seem to run the easy marathons and this one certainly wasn't with nearly 3500 feet of elevation. Despite all of the climbing Coe finished in a time of 4:51.
20 club runners took part in the very popular free Parkrun which takes place each Saturday at 9 am in Hotham Park. Carole Parncutt achieved a PB for the 5k course, finishing in 30.11 Bognor Regis Tone Zone Runners Results
